3 (i) The night light should be water resistant and be able to withstand a shower for about 5 minutes. [um the shower part sounds a bit absurd but thats what it says...]
(ii) The electronics are to be enclosed in a plastic bag to prevent water from entering the internal parts.
(iii) The cardboard should be protectd by an anti-water covering to prevent the cardboard from being damp.

If it is too general, it will be impossible to satisfy the design specifications.
If it is too general, almost anything is possible to satisfy the conditions.
[the two points sort of contradict each other :S]
If it is too general, then the options will be too wide and the choice would be difficult to decide.

Well there's another answer that says "Switch A in series with circuit, switch C in Series with Switch B in parallel but its confusing...
6 To prevent the LED from high current, preventing it from blowing.
7 We need to connect 3 1.5V batteries in series.
